SpyHunter Uninstallation Instructions

Uninstalling SpyHunter 5 on Windows

Windows 11 or Windows 10

  • Click on the “Windows Start” button (Windows Key) and select the “Settings” item (gear icon).
  • In the “Settings” window, locate and click on “Apps”. If you can’t find “Apps”, use the “Find A Setting” search field at the top of the window and type “Apps & Features”. Then, select the “Apps & Features” option.
  • Look for “SpyHunter 5” in the “Apps & Features” list and click on it to highlight it. Then, click the “Uninstall” button.

Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8

  • Click on the “Windows Start” button (“Windows Key” + “Q” in Windows 8) and select the “Control Panel” item.
  • In the Control Panel, click on “Programs and Features”. If you’re using Windows XP, double-click on “Add/Remove Programs” (Windows XP).
  • In the “Programs and Features” window (or “Add/Remove Programs” in Windows XP), locate “SpyHunter 5” and highlight it. Right-click on it and select “Uninstall” (or “Uninstall/Change”).
  • Once the “SpyHunter Uninstall” window appears, follow these steps:
    • Select your language if prompted.
    • Confirm your decision to remove “SpyHunter 5” by clicking “Yes”.
    • Follow the instructions provided to complete the uninstallation process. Note: You might need to restart your system to finish the process.

Uninstalling SpyHunter on Mac

To uninstall SpyHunter for Mac, please follow these steps:

  • Open a “Finder” window by clicking on the “Finder” icon in the Dock.
  • In the Finder sidebar, click on the “Applications” folder and locate “SpyHunter” in the list of apps.
  • Right-click on the SpyHunter icon and choose “Move to Trash”. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the SpyHunter icon from the “Applications” folder to the “Trash” icon on the right side of the Dock.
  • If desired, you can right-click on the “Trash” icon and select “Empty Trash” to permanently delete all items in the “Trash” folder. Before emptying the Trash, review its contents to ensure you don’t need any of the items.
